  The Three Gorges Dam

  The Three Gorges Dam, the largest dam ,is also the largest engineering project on the surface of the earth .   Gestures are the “silent language” of every culture. We point a finger or move another part of the body to show what we want to say. It is important to know the body language of every country or we may be misunderstood.

  In the US, people greet each other with a handshake in a formal introduction. The handshake must be firm. If the handshake is weak, it is a sign of weakness or unfriendliness. Friends may place a hand on the other’s arm or shoulder. Some people, usually women, greet a friend with a hug.

  一、教材分析:

  1、教學內(nèi)容:

  本單元是xx(下) Unit x。主要圍繞""這一主題展開各種教學活動,并以這一主題引出_____等語言功能。本單元旨在創(chuàng)造一個輕松,愉快的學習,交流環(huán)境,通過聽,說,讀,寫來培養(yǎng)學生綜合運用這些知識的能力。并讓學生能在"做中學"(learning by doing),通過有限的課堂實踐活動,拓展以往的經(jīng)歷,能準確地用英語來表達。

  我們更要使學生不僅理解枯燥的語法,還要讓學生們會用新學的語法知識來表達思想。

  3、教材的處理:

  根據(jù)《英語課程標準》(實驗稿)關(guān)于總目標的具體描述,結(jié)合本單元這部分的教學內(nèi)容及基于對教材的分析,我對本單元的內(nèi)容進行如下處理,目的是突出重點,使課堂節(jié)奏緊湊,銜貫。本單元分為四課時,第一課時是Section A,第二課時是Section B,第三課時是Self Check,第四課時是xx,最后一部分是做練習,以學生的自測為主,然后予以校對。

  二、學情分析:

  我們教學的對象是初二學生(好,中,差等生都有),他們學習英語既感到好奇又擔憂,希望能得到他人的肯定。因此我在教學活動中盡量讓他們參與到活動中來,有更多的機會來說英語,減少他們的恐懼感,通過學生間的合作學習,降低他們的學習難度,使他們體驗到成功的喜悅。同時在閱讀和書面表達中加以落實,提高他們綜合運用語言的能力,使各層次的學生都有所收獲。

  準備:

  1 、教師準備教材配套的錄音帶。

  2 、教師準備字母卡A—Z。

  3 、教師準備中國、加拿大、英國、美國四國的國旗。

  4 、有關(guān)奧運會入場式的錄像帶。

  【教學過程】

  1、熱身、復習(Warm—up/Revision)

  (1)日?谡Z練習的展示。

 。2)讓學生根據(jù)動物的圖片或個人情況,簡單形容某人、某物的樣子。

  (3)游戲:請說出與我動作不同的單詞。

  教師做動作,要求學生說出與教師所做動作不同的單詞。如:教師做tall的動作,學生說:short 。

  2、呈現(xiàn)新課(Presentation)

  (1)教師將準備好的字母卡片按照A—Z的順序貼在黑板上。指著每個字母請學生認讀,復習字母表。可以全班齊讀,再以“開火車”的形式每人認讀一個字母。教師要求學生注意每個字母大小寫的不同形式。

 。2)教師出示中國、加拿大、英國、美國四國的國旗,教師帶讀China,Canada,United Kingdom,America。

 。3)教師播放Let's chant部分的錄相,在活潑動感的chant中讓學生了解國旗的同時初步感受四國國名的簡稱或全稱的發(fā)音China,Canada,United Kingdom,America。

  將全班分成四組,派一名學生到黑板前,教師念一個字母,學生就要從黑板上取下這個字母。最后比比,哪組學生手中的字母卡片最多。

 。5)教師將寫有大寫字母的卡片發(fā)給部分學生,每人一張,說:P,R,C.拿著這三個字母卡的學生要按順序站成一排。用同樣的方法讓學生找出CAN UK和USA(教師在發(fā)給學生卡片時,可有意準備兩個A,C,和U以備用)。

 。6)領(lǐng)讀這幾個單詞,告訴學生它們是中國、加拿大、英國、美國四個國家的國名縮寫,國名要用大寫。將準備好的四面國旗分別貼在各自的國名縮寫下,請學生根據(jù)國旗說出每個詞代表的國家。

  3、趣味操練(Practice)

  (1)游戲:配對游戲。

  將寫有四國國名縮寫的.字母卡和國旗分別給8個學生,請他們將詞與圖配對貼在黑板上。

 。2)讓學生聽Let's say部分錄音,并跟讀。

 。3)讓學生聽Let's chant部分的歌謠錄音,一句一句的跟讀。將China,Canada,United Kingdom,America四個國家的國名板書于各國國旗下。告訴學生PRC和USA是中國和美國的簡稱,完整的形式為:the People's Republic of China(即:中華人民共和國)以及the United States of America(即:美利堅合眾國)。而平時多使用China,America兩個單詞。
