　　Over half a million people visit Auschwitz Birkenau each year. The standard two-and-a-half-hour guided tour gives an audience at best an abridged understanding of this vast and sprawling site. What a tourist can comprehend in such a brief visit is questionable.

　　With the rapid development of tourist attractions，a growing number of people throng to the scenic spots during their vacations. As is vividly depicted in the cartoon, in the middle of a lake alive with rubbish rows a boat, riding two tourists, who are littering while enjoying the scenery.

　　We can deduce from the picture that the drawer is trying to capture our attention to the tragedy of the destruction of the rivers and lakes, which is part of the threat to the ecological balance of the planet. It must be admitted that occurrences of water pollution caused by the rapid development of tourism industry is understood by many people with wide and insightful views. Unfortunately, in real practice, tourism has developed in a manner which often conflicts with the environment. To some extent, the faster the tourism economy develops, the worse the environment becomes.

　　What is the significance of tourism development if the ecological balance is destroyed? In my view, measures should be taken without any delay to address the problem before price is paid for the negative development of the tourism. What should be done first is to make more people aware of the importance of environment protection. Otherwise, sightseeing, as a relaxation for most city dwellers, would be an impossible-to-be-realized wish in a few years. Meanwhile, related laws must be laid down to protect the fragile environment and to penalize those who violate the law. Only in this way would we enjoy a wonderful natural ecosystem and an advantageous, fast-growing tourism economy.

　　隨著旅游的快速發(fā)展，越來越多的人涌向風景名勝，在他們的假期。如圖所示，在一個充滿垃圾的劃船湖中間，騎兩游客，誰亂扔垃圾邊欣賞風景。

There are all kinds of trees and grass everywhere.It’s very easy to travel to Weihai. You can come by bus， by train， or by plane. Marushka wants to know about a program that lets foreign students work in the United States during their summer vacations.The program is called Summer Work/Travel. The State Department administers it for full-time college or university students who speak English well.

　　Students come on a J-one exchange visa. They can work for up to four months during their school break. They generally work in service jobs in stores, resorts, hotels, restaurants and amusement parks. But summer internships are also permitted.

　　"Summer" in this case means summer in the student's country. Those from south of the equator come to the United States during the northern winter.Students cannot work as housekeepers in private homes or be involved in patient care. And they are supposed to be paid the same as Americans.

　　Congress created this popular program under a nineteen sixty-one law, theMutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act. Last year, one hundred fifty thousand students came to the United States this way. Students can do the Summer Work/Travel program more than once.

　　After we came back from the travel, we found that our bodies have become stronger and healthier than before. My sister told me that she planned to travel again next year.
