出國留學(xué)推薦信格式推薦信是一種說明申請(qǐng)人的人品和能力的應(yīng)用文體。出國留學(xué)推薦信是由出國留學(xué)申請(qǐng)人所在國內(nèi)就讀大學(xué)的學(xué)�；蛞郧熬妥x過的學(xué)校的教授，向申請(qǐng)學(xué)校寫的推薦人學(xué)的信函。申請(qǐng)學(xué)�？梢酝ㄟ^推薦信來了解申請(qǐng)人在學(xué)校成績、學(xué)業(yè)成就、工作能力、在校期間表現(xiàn)以及申請(qǐng)人性格特征等方面的情況。
出國留學(xué)推薦信是出國留學(xué)申請(qǐng)材料之一，對(duì)申請(qǐng)人錄取及獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的獲得有重大意義。信函一律用英文書寫。推薦信的格式與一般書信基本相同，如信頭、發(fā)信日期、收信人姓名、稱呼、信尾謙稱、簽名、推薦人姓名與身份等都是必需的。在內(nèi)容上，出國留學(xué)推薦信應(yīng)包括推薦人與被推薦人的關(guān)系、被推薦人在校表現(xiàn)、成果等，對(duì)申請(qǐng)人最突出的方面則應(yīng)加以著重介紹。態(tài)度要適度贊揚(yáng)，但又不可空洞。
推薦信的語言風(fēng)格應(yīng)該清晰流暢，言簡意賅，并且每封推薦信的語言風(fēng)格應(yīng)該有所區(qū)別。推薦信可以和申請(qǐng)表一起寄出，但要記得在信封正面寫上推薦人和對(duì)方學(xué)校的聯(lián)系地址，以便核查。
〔文本結(jié)構(gòu)及內(nèi)容要點(diǎn)〕
稱呼讀信人應(yīng)為申請(qǐng)學(xué)校的教授，用“親愛的xx先生”即可。
推薦人與被推薦人的相識(shí)推薦信是留學(xué)目的地學(xué)校了解推薦者的重要依據(jù)，所以十分看重推薦信的真實(shí)可靠性。因此，推薦信要首先交代推薦人與被推薦人的關(guān)系，從而表明對(duì)后者的知情程度和推薦的權(quán)威性。如表明推薦人的身份及與被推薦人的關(guān)系（師生關(guān)系、土、下級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)關(guān)系等）；雙方認(rèn)識(shí)的時(shí)間和熟悉程度等。如果你是應(yīng)屆本科生畢業(yè)，常常要有兩個(gè)任課的教授寫推薦信―一個(gè)專業(yè)課老師，一個(gè)基礎(chǔ)課老師，一個(gè)從專業(yè)角度推薦，另一個(gè)則從基礎(chǔ)素質(zhì)角度推薦。
被推薦人在校期間的表現(xiàn)對(duì)被推薦者的優(yōu)點(diǎn)介紹及評(píng)價(jià)，這是推薦信的核心。主要包括被推薦者的天賦、品行及個(gè)性、學(xué)習(xí)精神、學(xué)習(xí)成績、研究能力、工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)、組織能力等。注意說辭應(yīng)與其他申請(qǐng)材料如成績單、獲獎(jiǎng)證書等相呼應(yīng)。其中，各種能力要素及取得的成果往往是獲取留學(xué)資格的關(guān)鍵，應(yīng)該加以突出，如扼要陳述能夠說明被推薦人的能力的事實(shí)，但切勿夸大其詞，而幾這些事實(shí)必須與所申請(qǐng)的職位或者所攻讀的專業(yè)相關(guān)。
結(jié)論意見愿意推薦或不愿意推薦，無保留或有所保留的推薦，普通推薦或極力推薦，必須明確，當(dāng)然極力推薦為最好，應(yīng)建議申請(qǐng)學(xué)校對(duì)申請(qǐng)惠予考慮、錄取或聘用。
請(qǐng)求應(yīng)以委婉的語氣提出，避免出現(xiàn)“應(yīng)該”、“必須”等口氣強(qiáng)硬的詞。有時(shí)也可以總結(jié)全文或表示謝意結(jié)束。

1.申請(qǐng)人外語水平優(yōu)異，應(yīng)該寫出具體分?jǐn)?shù)，若勉強(qiáng)合格則可不談。
2.推薦信要言簡意賅，語氣要熱情誠懇，介紹申請(qǐng)人成績要實(shí)事求是，切忌主觀點(diǎn)評(píng)式的又缺乏事實(shí)根據(jù)的推薦評(píng)語，要有具體的事例說明。同時(shí)為了增加推薦信的真實(shí)性，寫少量并不重要但很中肯的小缺點(diǎn)不失為一種聰明的策略。
3.推薦信的篇幅不宜過長，一般來說，500英文字以內(nèi)比較適合，(www.panasonaic.com)即能排在一張 A4信紙，并上下留出寫抬頭和簽名的充足空間。
4.被推薦者的簽名。為便于對(duì)方查詢，被推薦者的簽名僅寫“Mr Wan擴(kuò)或”Miss Zhang“是不夠的。用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的漢語拼音或英文拼法都可以，但必須由被推薦者自己提供，且前后必須一致。

Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr.Caleb,my former student. I have known Mr. Caleb for more than 6 years since his freshman year at ”University of Minnesota“. At that time, he took the course-- ”Mathematical Analysis,“ which I taught mainly for junior students majoring in Mathematics. To my surprise, I found he was among the few students in his class who could keep up with the pace of my lectures. Moreover, he often posed thought-provoking questions during the course. Thus it was natural that I liked discussing with this young man and became familiar with him. The more I knew him, the more I found he was talented at mathematics. As you can see, he got excellent scores on the course. In fact, he ranked No. 1 on this 270 hours course in the talented student class which has 34 intelligent others.
With his outstanding talent and solid mathematical background, he also did quite well in most other courses during his undergraduate study. By the way, you may wonder why his undergraduate scores look not so good compared to other Chinese applicants. It is easy to explain, because he belonged to the talented student class, which were required to endure harder test papers and stricter grading than most other college students did at least at ”University of Minnesota“.
He even served as Prof. Linda s Research Assistant for one year. No one could deny his commitment to his job. As a matter of fact, Prof. Linda s electronic lab happened to be neighboring my office and I could always see him working in the lab, either repairing the instruments or helping Prof. Linda collect lab reports. Maybe one more example will demonstrate his commitment more clearly. Once he suggested compiling a FORTRAN program to solve a complicated circuit problem in his class. In order to do that, he had to do a lot of computer work. However, because there were few computers available in our computer lab, he had to wake up at 5 a.m. in winter （please note: ”Twin city“ is a downtown near the north border of China, so it is pretty cold in winter and the heating system is not working very well.） to ensure the 1st position of the long waiting line for his classmates and himself! At last he and his classmates finished the program successfully with his great efforts.
As to his personality, I would like to say Mr. Caleb is a warm-hearted, honest and upright student. He was always ready to help others. During my lectures, many students got confused at some points and I could always see Mr. Caleb help them explain during breaks. In the meanwhile, I must admit that Mr. Caleb was a bit impatient sometimes.
Finally, I would like to conclude my recommendation as follows: frankly, Mr. Caleb is not a genius, but I promise his great intelligence, commitment to work and his kind nature will impress you deeply. 接下來，教授寫一些有關(guān)申請(qǐng)人在課堂上的表現(xiàn)，如完成的研究計(jì)劃、實(shí)驗(yàn)室研究、研究報(bào)告、考試的成績、課堂態(tài)度、討論課的參與等，舉出實(shí)例。
”In my class （es）， （name） did excellent work. She always listened attentively, participated activitely in class, and handed in very good written assignment.
“In particular, his/her research paper on （topic） was of exceptionally high quality, and showed that s/he fully understands and has a strong background in his/her field.”
如果推薦人是工作主管，首先一定要仔細(xì)陳述申請(qǐng)人的工作職責(zé)，并對(duì)申請(qǐng)者工作表現(xiàn)作一評(píng)估。如果可能的話盡量列舉實(shí)例。
“When （name） held the position of （job title） in this company she was one s/he was one of my best employees. His/her job responsibilities included （describe them）， and s/he carried out his/her duties with exceptional skill and professionalism.”
“S/he not only did his/her own work, but also helped other employees, and made many valuable contributions to the efficient running to our firm.”
第二段最后一段：可以提及申請(qǐng)人在班上（或公司里）的比較表現(xiàn)（譬如排名）：
“I was rate （name）‘s academic ability as in the top 10% of his/her class.”
“Compared against other students that I have taught, I would say that （name） ranks in the upper 10%.
接下來，推薦者可對(duì)申請(qǐng)人能否成功完成學(xué)業(yè)提出看法。舉例：
